Happy Anniversary!

I just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my little sister and her husband!  Kelsey and Matt have been married for 1 year now!  It's hard to believe that it's been a whole year already.  The two of them have gone through more than a couple should ever have to, especially in their first year of marriage.  They have had a lot of ups and downs (maybe more downs than ups), but they have made it through, and that is a true testament of their love.

I had been meaning to blog about their wedding, but because of whatever reasons, it just didn't happen (sorry, Kels!)  But, they had a very sweet ceremony outdoors at a park near their house.  C was their ring bearer and he was adorable if I say so myself!

N was not even a year old, so we didn't get very many pictures, but here are a few of our favorites!

Let's get this wedding started!

The beautiful bride!!

Yay!!!!!

The happy couple :)

All partied out!

Being a ring bearer is tough work!

Happy Anniversary Kelsey and Matt!  Here's wishing you many, many more!!!

MeMa's House

We had a great trip to MeMa's house recently.  I love the fact that my boys are able to know one of their Great-Grandmothers so well.  They love going to visit with her and get spoiled to no end.  We had a great time playing outside with a large bowling set (the boys were so excited), playing with a large sprinkler ball, and just general relaxation.

One Fish, Two Fish

We were walking through the pet store the other day and saw that they were having a really good sale on fish.  C's been asking for a fish, so we thought...sure, why not!  I was picturing a little fish bowl with one or two goldfish, Hubby had other ideas.  So, we went home that night, did a little research and went back the next day to get a family aquarium!  We decided to get Tetra fish.  They sounded like they were hardy fish, and very pretty too!  They are also schooling fish, so we had to get at least 4 or 5. We picked out Neon Tetra, and there were 8 in the tank, so we went ahead and got them all!  (However, some time between that night and the next morning, we only had 7.  We still have no idea what happened to poor number 8!)

C had a great time helping set up the tank...

Adding the fish...

And admiring the new pets...

Even N enjoyed the new fish!

And a couple pictures of the fish and tank...

And the night light...

C is really enjoying the fish.  He even makes sure to say good night and gives the tank a kiss before bed!

Happy Father's Day!

Hubby is my partner, my love, my one and only.  He's very, very special to me, and I cannot imagine going through life without him by my side.  He's not only a wonderful husband, but an incredible father.  I could not have dreamed up a better partner for this crazy thing called parenthood.  Happy Father's Day, Hubby, I know it wasn't the perfect day you deserved, but we'll make it up to you soon!  Love you!!

When you first became a father...

Marveling over our little bundle (can you believe they let us bring him home?)...

A father of two...

Relaxing and bonding with the new little man...

Our happy little family...

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there!  (And to the single moms as well!)

Ultimate Blog Party

Ultimate Blog Party 2011

April is my birthday month (yes, MONTH!) and I love a good party, so I decided to link up at the Ultimate Blog Party hosted by 5 Minutes for Mom.

A little about the blog: I started this after much encouragement from friends and Hubby.  I wasn't sure exactly what type of blog I wanted, but after writing a couple posts, it became obvious that I am a Mommy Blogger.  I love to talk about my boys, family, and share pictures.  Where better to tell all the stories that would make me a social outcast if all I did was tell them in everyday conversations, than a blog!

A little about me: I'm 29 (for another day, eeek!) and a wife and a mom and a friend.  I love to read, spend time with my family, hang out with friends, and enjoy just about anything that gets me out of housework.

About that fam: I have the best Hubby ever (really, I do)!  I have two little boys, C who is almost 3, and N who is almost 5 months.  We have a dog, Copper, who is a miniature pincher/boxer mix.

Join me as I try to make my way through this thing called motherhood without making too many mistakes!

The Weekend

Has anyone else notices how short the weekends are?  Just when they really start, they end.  What's up with that?

Saturday morning, the boys decided to let us sleep in a little, until 8am!  Hubby got the oil changed in his car while I stayed home with the boys...then I went to a consignment sale (where I got some awesome new-looking clothes for N) while Hubby stayed home with the boys.  Then, and this is why my Hubby rocks, I went to a book club meeting with some great girl friends (including Darcie and Becky), while he stayed home with the boys, again.  We had a great time!  We read (well, I started to read, working on finishing now) Loving Frank: A Novel by Nancy Horan and visited one of Frank Lloyd Wright's homes.  The house was awesome, and I totally want to move there.  The day ended with playing with the boys, and Chinese food with the Hubby.

A side view of Frank Lloyd Wright's Pope-Leighey House.

Be sure to check out Becky's blog for more pictures today, and a book review tomorrow!

And this is what I saw when I walked in the door at home.

Sunday was a total family day, and it rocked!  We woke up early again, got some laundry done, finished Big Love, played some games, went to lunch and then Sam's Club.  At home, we relaxed, napped, watched a movie, and played some more!

The big news of the weekend is C's potty training.  There were some accidents Saturday morning, but none at all Saturday afternoon or Sunday!  That includes nap both days, and while we were out and about Sunday!  I am so excited and happy for him...and while I am excited at the idea of only 1 in diapers, a little sad for me...he's growing up too fast!  I'll try to get a post up soon about our potty training adventure!
Sittin' on the potty.

And what good is potty training without some underwear fun!
(Sorry pic is fuzzy, iPhone camera with moving toddler!)

See what I mean about an awesome weekend?  Friends and family quality time, who could ask for more??  Monday morning?  If you must come so soon, you better have a big mug of coffee waiting for me!
